Granite City cocaine dealer sentenced to 10 years
A Granite City man was sentenced to 10 years in federal prison for his role in distributing more than five kilograms of cocaine. Demario Rogers, 33, was sentenced Monday in U.S. District Court in East St. Louis to charges that he previously had pleaded guilty. He pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute more than five kilograms of cocaine and one count of possession with intent to distribute cocaine, according to Stephen R. Wigginton, U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Illinois. After Rogers serves his prison sentence, he will be required to serve five years of probation. He also was fined $200 and ordered to pay a $200 special assessment.
