Kirk Phillips,Danny Jones ,Harry Parker

Kirk Phillips (21) was sentenced to four years in prison for two charges of death by dangerous driving.
Hull Crown Court heard how Phillips had drunk half a bottle of Southern Comfort and taken a cocktail of drugs including speed, diazepam and cannabis, before the crash in South Ferriby. The road was closed for 15 hours after the accident.
At the time of the fatal crash, which killed his friends Danny Jones (18) and Harry Parker (19), he was disqualified from driving.
The court heard how in the early hours of September 3 last year, Phillips had been driving through a toll gate on the Humber Bridge at high speed when Humberside Police officers in a marked car began following his Ford Escort car.
A chase ensued onto the A15 and then the A1077 heading towards South Ferriby.
As Phillips' car travelled at 'excessive speeds' towards the village, the police officers dropped back as they were unable to keep up with him.
Prosecutor Simon Kealey told the court although there were signs warning of a sharp left-hand bend, Phillips' car left the road, struck the kerb and flew through the air for around eight metres, hitting trees as it went.
It came to rest in a clearing, where the police officers who had earlier been following, found it after a search.
One of the police officers described the top of the car as having been 'sliced off' and the three occupants, including Phillips, seriously injured.
Emergency services were called, but Mr Jones and Mr Parker died at the scene.
Mr Kealey told the court when Phillips went to hospital, he told a nurse he had drunk half a bottle of Southern Comfort and taken drugs before driving.
The court heard Phillips, of Stonecliffe Gardens, Farsley, Leeds, had several previous driving convictions and at the time of the crash had been banned from driving.
