Erick Clisby

Erick Clisby had second thoughts about his original position that he knew nothing about the drug operation.
Clisby pleaded guilty just as the fifth day of his trial on charges of trafficking in cocaine, possession of cocaine and conspiracy was about to start.
Prosecutors agreed to drop the conspiracy charge in exchange for the plea.
Since Clisby was a low-level player in the deal, prosecutors agreed to a four-year prison term - much shorter than the 40 years he faced.
"I think he realized that evidence was against him and he didn't want to chance a jury verdict," Assistant Hamilton County Prosecutor Mark Tierney said. "When you weigh everyone's part in the operation that was going on, Clisby's plea is a fair one and law enforcement agrees."
Hamilton County Common Pleas Judge Alex Triantafilou, who presided over the case, will sentence Clisby on Feb. 1.
