Police seize 1,000 pounds pot, 70 grams cocaine in raid
Police expect to file charges against four men after officers found more than 1,000 pounds of pot and cocaine Friday afternoon.
A concerned citizen gave police an anonymous tip concerning a home in the 3000 block of North Glasscock Road about 7:30 a.m. Friday, Sgt. Jody Tittle said. Police executed a search warrant shortly after noon that day and found the narcotics hidden in a closet and a bedroom.
Officers seized about 1,000 pounds of pot and 70 grams of cocaine from the home, Tittle said. Police declined to release the suspects’ identities, pending formal criminal charges.
The men, who ranged in ages from 20 to 50 years old, are expected to face a judge sometime this weekend, police said. Several of the suspects who live at the home previously were arrested for possession of marijuana.
Police said the men will likely face possession of marijuana and cocaine charges in connection with the raid.
